BiBo is a decorative bee hotel that offers a place for arboreal solitary bees to rest and overwinter.
Solitary bees are currently having a hard time finding a place to overwinter and it is threatening to eradicate several of them. By hanging the beehive, more bees are given a chance to survive the winter - and in return, your garden or balcony will flourish! Solitary bees are harmless to us humans as their stingers are too weak to penetrate our skin.
In Sweden today there are about 290 bee species, of which one in three is endangered. Solitary bees do not produce honey, but they pollinate large parts of our fruit trees and flowers, and are therefore vital for our survival and that of other species.
Hang the beehive under the roof of the house, on the balcony or in a tree where it is protected from rain and wind.
BiBo is cut from a single piece of Swedish pine and produced in Sweden. The string is made of hemp. The beehive is finished with linseed oil paint. Stylish materials for stylish bees.
